“CityRewilding” is an initiative that brings together the knowledge of experts, scientists, officials, biologists, artists, and architects with the aim of popularizing individual and systemic actions that we can take to support and restore biodiversity in urban environments. The goal is also to redefine the relationship between humans and nature on equal terms. We examine examples of grassroots practices and top-down strategies for restoring space to animals, plants, and other non-human entities. Additionally, we track changes in discourse, law, and language.
